How do I play?

Place the numbers 1–9 once each across the grid. Match the targets for all three rows, all three columns, and both corner-to-corner diagonals. Dark tiles are fixed clues. Each puzzle has exactly one solution.

When does the daily puzzle change?

A new daily puzzle begins at midnight UTC. The time in your location depends on your time zone. Keep your device’s date and time correct. Reopen the app if the new puzzle has not appeared yet.

How do hints and undo work?

A hint reveals one correct number. Undo reverses a move, but a used hint remains counted because its answer has already been revealed. If a number is already used elsewhere, erase it there before placing it again.

Where is my progress saved?

Progress and streaks save automatically on this device. They do not sync with the web version or with another device. Deleting the app removes local progress; iPhone backups depend on your Apple settings. The Android app excludes game preferences from backup and device transfer.

Do I need internet or an account?

No. Daily and practice puzzles work offline. Sharing a result uses your device’s share sheet; the destination service may require internet.

Is everything free?

Yes. There are no ads, subscriptions, or in-app purchases.

Report a problem

Please include your phone model, iOS or Android version, Sumday version, the puzzle date or practice number, and what happened. Never send passwords or sensitive personal information.
